KZN BMX DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Together with the assistance of KZN Sports and Recreation, and the various BMX Clubs, KwaZulu Natal has a thriving and robust development program. The athletes who move through the various programs are coached and funds provided by the KZN BMX Commission via support from KZN Sports and Recreation and internal club funding. As a body we believe that by developing talent from various communities can result in the growth and nurturing of future stars.

Our development program is yielding wonderful results, in both the girls and boys age groups, and young Anele Ndlovu and Tyler Thompson from PMB are most definitely riders to watch in the future. Tyler Thompson, who blasted his way to SA 1 in the hotly contested gate of 11/12 Expert will be attending his first World Championships this year.
2018 Development Series
Currently we are hosting a development series at each one of the local clubs to kick off the season. This exciting event, allows potential future stars to try their hand at racing on the tracks on race day. Riders are hand picked from the KZN CYCLING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM run by Tyrone Johns, which searches and develops talent from underprivileged communities in KZN.
